Art enthusiasts were in for a treat this June. The Rutland Gallery in Uppingham proudly presented an exhibition by the internationally acclaimed British watercolour artist, Shirley Trevena RI. From June 1st to Saturday, June 29th, visitors had the opportunity to immerse themselves in Shirley Trevena's vibrant and captivating world of watercolours.
Shirley Trevena RI, a distinguished member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours (RI), is renowned for her innovative approach to watercolour painting. With a career spanning over five decades, Trevena has established herself as a master of the medium, pushing the boundaries of traditional watercolour techniques to create dynamic and expressive works of art.
Gallery owner, John Jolley, said that he was delighted with the response to the exhibition. One of Shirley Trevena's most distinctive traits is her fearless experimentation with colour and form.
